Do you remember Clicker Heroes? It’s a Free-to-Play idle RPG that launched just over three years ago on PC. It’s pretty much what would happen if Cookie Clicker and Shining Soul had a bizarre cartoonish baby. Well, it’s sequel, Clicker Heroes 2 just hit Steam Early Access. The plot twist here, though, is that the second game is very, very far from free.
Clicker Heroes 2 became available at 1:00 PM Pacific Time today. And if you want to give it a whirl, it will set you back $29.99, quite a hefty price tag for an idle clicking game. What’s more, the game is not even in its stable state yet. According to its Steam page, it is still in early Beta and there is still time before the first Stable branch.
Whether the new idle title by Playsaurus is worth its price is not for us to decide, however. We have yet to play Clicker Heroes 2 ourselves, after all. However, here’s what players can expect from the new title:
- Infinite Gameplay: Players will be able to move between higher-tiered zones and worlds infinitely, according to the press release. This will also allow them to unlock infinite upgrades for their cast of heroes.
- Tons of Skills and Worlds: Different worlds will come with different unique monsters for you to tackle. And no RPG would be complete without a vast array of unlockable skills that can help you go through all those enemies.
- Automator: Would it be an idle game if you couldn’t just let it play itself? As its name suggests, the Automator will do just that – it will allow you to leave the game unattended while still reaping rewards from it.
