Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?! is a game that is just as silly as its title implies. It is a tycoon type of game, where you have to manage a weapons store that various adventurers to visit to acquire some new gear. You are tasked with managing your smith potato and its employees, so you can make great weapons for potato adventurers to buy. The plot twist, though, is that each every character is an anthropomorphic potato.
Players on PC and mobile platforms have probably heard of the game already since it has been out for several years now. In fact, Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?! launched on Steam all the way back in 2015. However, yesterday, the game made its console debut. As of this Thursday, Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?! is available to purchase on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in North America.
The console iteration of the game comes with the bonus adventure Spud Tales: Journey to Olympus, a brand new controls scheme fit for consoles, and the original soundtrack by Kimura Masahiko, the composer behind the music of the Castlevania series.
If you are interested in picking the game up on your console, you will not be set back too much. Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?! comes with a suggested retail price of $14.95. This is quite a lot cheaper than most games on console these days.
