The Long Reach Xbox One port just landed yesterday, Merge Games announced. This is certainly a welcome news for horror fans, as the game has been out for PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 for quite some time. In fact, The Long Reach made it to Nintendo and PlayStation all the way back in March, alongside its Steam release.
In case you haven’t heard of the title, let us give you a brief rundown. At first glance, The Long Reach is a 2D adventure game with a kind of an old-school vibe to it. However, after you play a bit of it, you will find out that it’s actually more of a horror-thriller than anything else. The game will have you solve various riddles and puzzles, similarly to many adventure games of old. Yet, this will all happen around some gruesome pixel-art scenes that you are unlikely to forget any time soon.
According to its developers, The Long Reach is “hell bent on screwing with your perception of things” and we cannot agree more. Of course, we won’t spoil anything, but we’ll gladly give you a tip – do not trust anything you see in the game.
If you want to pick up The Long Reach Xbox One version, it will set you back the modest $14.99, same as the price on PC, so it’s definitely a good deal. For the UK and EU markets, the price is £12.99 and €14.99, respectively. And if you are still uncertain whether you want to buy the game, make sure to check out the trailer below.
