Pokemon GO Halloween Event Will Introduce Gen 3

The Pokemon GO Halloween event is starting soon. Very soon, in fact – it will run from October 20 to November 1. And, other than the return of Gastly, Drowzee, and Cubone, it will come with the first Gen 3 Pokemon in the mobile title. Sableye, Banette, “and a few other Ghost-type Pokemon” from Generation 3 will make an appearance for this year’s Pokemon GO Halloween event. According to Niantic’s official press release, the rest of the creatures found in the Hoenn region will come by the end of the year.

Additionally, Pikachu will be getting a new hat again. So far, our second-favourite Nintendo mascot has worn an Ash hat, a birthday hat, and a few others. Now, it will receive a witch-style headwear. Players will also get a new hat to wear – Mimikyu’s Disguise Hat. It’s a regular purple witch hat if you ask us, though.

What’s more, Trainers will find far more Candy during the event. Players will receive double the amount of Candy when they catch, hatch, or transfer Pokemon. Also, Buddy Pokemon will find Candies twice as fast. Maybe it’s finally time for us here at Gaming Adept to get those starters evolved.

The in-game shop will also receive some love. It will feature special boxes that can grant you Raid Passes and Super Incubators, among other things.
