Daily Launch: PlayStation 4 and PS Vita Games (20 Oct, 2017)

Hello and welcome to the Daily Launch on October 20, 2017. In this series, we inform you about all the new PS4 games launching today. So, without further ado, let’s hop right into it.

Real Farm

  • Platforms: PlayStation 4
  • Genre: Simulation
  • Developers: Triangle Studios
  • Price: $39.99 (PS4)

Real Farm is gearing up to be a competitor to the very popular Farming Simulator franchise. According to its developers, it should allow you to do just about anything a farmer could ever imagine. Whether or not it will deliver on the promise, we have yet to see for ourselves.

When it comes to features, it offers a 4K resolution for the PS4 Pro farmers, a huge open world, and a massive array of farm vehicles and machinery. We will see if this will be enough to topple the Farming Simulator king and take up its crown.

Spiral Splatter

  • Platforms: PlayStation 4, PS Vita
  • Genre: Puzzle
  • Developers: Neonchimp Games
  • Price: $4.99 (PS4), $4.99 (PS Vita)

Spiral Splatter is a wonderful little puzzle game that will test your hand-eye coordination. Actually, “test” isn’t the correct term, because it will probably push it to the limit.

You are tasked with navigating a small white dot across over 100 levels and 11 different stages. Your goal is to get the white dot to the end of the level without touching the sides or getting caught by the ghost that follows you.

Always Sometimes Monsters

  • Platforms: PlayStation 4
  • Genre: RPG
  • Developers: VAGABOND DOG
  • Price: $9.99 (PS4)

Always Sometimes Monsters is an RPG game, originally released for PC in 2014. It puts you in the shoes of a starving author that is about to lose the love of their life to someone else.

The game relies heavily on player choice. It spans over 30 in-game days, during which players must do their best to make enough money to progress to the next stage of the story.

Always Sometimes Monsters is probably one of the best RPG Maker games. It is so polished, in fact, that players might have a hard time recognizing that it was made with the RPG Maker VX Ace engine.

Honorable Mentions

  • Abyss: The Wraiths of Eden (PS4)
  • Let’s Sing 2018 (PS4)

We will update this post with pricing and links to the PlayStation Store, as soon as the games hit the US.
